Edo de Waart plans to make the most of his time with Milwaukee Symphony

....De Waart may be talking about what he'll do after leaving the MSO, but his eyes are firmly fixed on his remaining two years here. He spoke with great excitement about next season, beginning with the semi-staged performances of "Cosi fan tutte" that will open the season.
Like this season's "Don Giovanni," de Waart said, "Cosi" will find the orchestra in a raised pit, a la Mozart's time, and will be staged by L.A.-based production designer James Darrah, who staged "Giovanni."
Saying he was "extremely pleased" with the "Giovanni" staging, he said: "It was really minimal — very little staging — and that gave us a lot of improvisation. When Matthew Rose, who did Leporello, charmed our principal cello on stage, that was fantastic."....
